We may be a small club, but in terms of personality, we are anything but! Recently we have had a great intake of younger new members and this has done nothing but benefited the activities and events we as a club are attending. Recent events we have attended consist of small intimate music festivals throughout the Dengie, to visits to local farming business such as Dengie Crop Driers.
This year our main focus on meeting has been to make them memorable, with one of our most recent events being a local scavenger hunt through Burnham-on-Crouch that saw the club divide into two groups and use our competitive sides to find and take photos with local land marks or objects which lead to some great photos being taken, most impressively the girls getting a photo with a train driver as he pulled into Burnham Railway Station.
Other recent meetings have seen us training for County Competitions, most recently Hockey where Southminster were able to claim 3rd place, and with rounders’ soon to come there will be plenty more success coming our way!
